Sangeeta Gambhir 2 of the pieces of the stem wouldn't stay screwed together--seemed stripped. Placed electrical tape over the threads to tighten the screw joint and works well enough.

Shelly I have a few led torchiere lamps by different manufacturers and this has become my favorite. it has proven to be the easiest to assemble.
